Festival of Song and Dance
Students from all eight schools in the cluster gathered together at ‘The Open’ in Norwich on the evening of Thursday 8th June to perform in front of an audience of over five hundred parents, grandparents and family members.
Below is a report on the event by Freya and Florence of Fairhaven School:
Last Thursday we took part in the Cluster Festival of Song and Dance at ‘The Open’ in Norwich, it wasn’t a competition but a show with all eight cluster schools taking part. In the festival we were nineth on stage just before the interval. Our theme was the story of Red Riding Hood, we performed a ballet with a song. Some of us were dressed as trees and people played Red Riding Hood, her mother and grandmother and of course the wolf. We tried very hard and did our best, we didn’t want to let anyone down who had been teaching us the singing and dancing. Before we were on stage we all felt very excited. At the end of the performance all our parents said “Well done”. We thought everyone in the audience enjoyed it, but most importantly we did.
