We visited Fairhaven Water Gardens at South Walsham this week. The display we found in the cafe’, by pupils of the Acle Cluster of local primary schools, was amazingly good.

They had created artwork inspired by those of Joan Miro, Georges Seurat and Henri Rousseau; not copies but colourful multi-media group effects by young people. I despair of reportedly poor results in our Norfolk schools with all this implies of standards of teaching.

If this display is anything to go by, exciting things are happening in the Acle area at primary level; elsewhere, too, I think.
